As many parents will know sitting children down to teach them something, such as a new language, can be very trying – which is where something such as Dora The Explorer can become invaluable! Dora The Explorer is essentially a small Spanish speaking girl who has many different adventures, even for being so young. The cartoon is exciting to watch for young children (whether you want them to learn a new language or not) and seems to, for the most part, subliminally teach children some of the fundamental basics of Spanish. There are key words in each programme and these are repeated throughout the adventure to help with recall.
